Eastlon Brickwork & Scaffolding was established in 2004, we provide a service that combines both brickwork and scaffolding trades as one cost effective package that ensures exceptional quality of work and an ability to meet programmes that would otherwise be difficult to achieve using two separate contractors.
We ensure that both trades are managed as cost effectively as possible to prevent any conflict occurring between the two trades that have traditionally been renowned for being at loggerheads with one another.
We also have a management structure that can offer the trades separately if required.
At present, we have just completed a £3.5m joint brickwork and scaffold package at Aldgate, East London consisting of a 28-storey high block.
We work with our clients at the early stages of design to ensure that all scaffold requirements are taken account of within the scaffold design (we appoint external design consultants to prepare full CAD scaffold design drawings and calculation) so that a cost-effective scaffold is employed for use by all trades to try and limit number of adaptions thereby saving time and costs.
We are a major player in facade works of external brickwork of buildings. We also fix shelf angle supports and associated sundry items. We employ a good quality work force with all our operatives holding the requisite CSCS cards.
Our banksmen and forklift drivers all hold CPCS cards and all our scaffolders have CISRS qualifications.
We have recently attained FORS Silver accreditation and have CHAS certification.
Our turnover to March 2016 was over £16 million with particular brickwork and scaffold packages over £3 million.
We have a long established and good reputation within the industry, both our Contracts and Commercial Directors have over 70 years’ experience between them in all aspects of the construction industry from one off houses to large and complex high rise developments, our contracts managers hold a minimum SSMTS and all foreman a minimum SSSTS. We also have our own designated first aiders.
We are proud of the fact that we work as a team to construct a project as cost effectively as possible, to programme and to a high-quality standard and of course with health and safety as the number one priority. We like to build a good working relationship with our client’s and work closely with them.
Our Construction Director is happy to attend meetings with the clients’ architects at design stage to make details simpler and cost effective and offer value engineering advice, he is very ‘hands on’ and visits each site at least weekly to ensure we are maintaining the highest level of service to our client’s.
We have our own independent Health and Safety Advisor who carries out monthly site inspections of each site and provides a comprehensive report of his findings so that any safety aspects can be addressed immediately and our high health and safety standards maintained, in addition we appoint a separate Safety Advisor to carry out an annual audit of our systems, yard and sites to ensure these are of the highest standard.
